Anticoagulation Sub-Cutaneous Injections

Some patients are full of hematomas, disgracious and revealing underlying disease and treatment.

Though, such markings are easy to avoid with a bit of professional attention.

Needles for those are the finest ones and none of an issue.

Bleeding occurs on piercing of a vessel.

On the skin such ones are visible, and puncture can be done beside them.

In sub-cutaneous fat this is not the case, but if you pierce slowly with the needle, damage to tissue is less, and most vessels and nerves have the opportunity to escape.

On the contrary, the skin is richly innervated and should be crossed fast with the needle.

This one is composed of Epidermis, which is about 1-2 mm thick and Dermis- 3-4 mm.

The Sub-cutis depends largely on the site considered but is more pronounced than previously mentioned ones and reaches often several centimeters.

Hence, after 2-3 mm depth, you must go slowly with your instrument.
