They open tiny slits in intestinal mucosa, through which germs and toxins gain access to blood stream. Result is edema and inflammation in whole body.

On the other hand, absorbed in limited amounts they unfold defensive properties against colon cancer. This has been observed in populations consuming a lot of legumes.

Every tissue in our organism is repaired after injury. If this one is slight, the organ evolves to a level of stronger capacity. This paradigm is observed in athletes’ muscle, but it can be extended to every single structure.

Hence, benefit of restricted quantity of such elements in our diet!
