Epidermal Inclusion Cysts

Those are the result of proliferation of Staphylococcus aureus on the skin.

This is the only germ which survives all the soaps, shampoos and solvents we use.

With time it becomes resistant even to antibiotics: MRSA!

But observe what is happening if you give up this way of living, and wash only with water, or some oil (Antidry), or vinegar, or Yoghurt…

There start appearing white spots on the skin.

Hidden epidermal layer is coming back to the surface.

With time even curious longitudinal drawings are to be seen.

If  we try to understand those ones, they can be only tiny lymphatic vessels coming to the epidermal location and losing their function in sub-cutaneous location.

Here we can only marvel at the multiplicity of tasks an epidermal cell can accomplish.

From epidermal to endothelial one, and then back again to initial function!

There are patients with arteries in such a horrid state that they represent a head-breaking dilemma for surgeons.

We could imagine using some of the skin abundant in many for manufacturing vessels.

Shaving 1-2 mm of superficial epidermal layer will minimize desquamation, and with time we can hope to obtain a functional endothelium.

Perhaps, resistance to blood flow would be insufficient and would need some kind of a grid around the wall.
