Tectonic Plates

“His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.

One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.

They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.”

                                                           Job 41 (King James’ Bible)

Since ever men have explored the Earth, in the quest of treasures. Mining for extraction of those are all over the Globe.

Despite this fact a lot remains to be discovered.

Since industrialization capabilities have increased tremendously, and offshore platforms are becoming common for many countries.

Because of slow progress and little understanding, I think we are only at the beginning of this process.

If we try to envision this game, we must consider the evolution of our planet.

At first, there was a Primitive Continent, one single one, and the rest was Ocean.

The Primitive Continent was covered by forests, which decayed and turned to earth gas, petrol products, and the more recent ones to charcoal.

Because of volcanic activity, the continents separated progressively, and seas appeared between them.

The volcanoes produced immense quantities, which now cover the main portions of continents.

Movement of everything is a relentless process, and tectonic plates cover little by little one another hiding deeper those treasures.

Where they encounter each other, the latter remain closer to the surface.

Hence, a precise map of our Earth with dates of individual tectonic plates is still missing, but the age of mountains can be declared more reliably and help research.
