The Balkan Mountain

This one gives its name to the whole peninsula and is centered in the middle of Bulgaria.

In Bulgarian language it is called The Old Mountain!

This is in no way a misnomer, as everything points to the fact that it is one of most ancient ones in the World.

When I was a teenager I read a book of Geography, which pertained that the Balkan is a prolongation of Ural.

Most of last one is in Russia and serves as a limit between Europe and Asia.

The Black Sea has been called this way since Antiquity and as a matter of fact, it is green only near its beaches and dark in its center.

The reason for that is toxic gases escaping from it’s bottom, not allowing seaweed to grow.

Could it be that the Ural and the Balkan were forming the slopes of an ancient volcano, the center of which sank and is now forming the Black Sea, from where Sulfur still escapes?

If that old book of Geography was right, then the same earth treasures can be found in the Balkan, as in the Ural.

Just, like in Kilimanjaro, in Afrika, in the South of it are found all sorts of precious stones, which in the North are covered by ashes.

You need to dig deeper to find those ones!

But Kilimanjaro is much more recent than Ural and Balkan.

Concerning first one, at the end of the glaciation era Gletschers swept the surface cover faster in the South.

Erosion of second ones took place earlier, and is extremely pronounced, so that nourishing layer is thinner.

Hence, just right place for a search must be discovered.
