Young doctors do not understand quite well the topic and ask the staff and testimonials: Was it red?

This is by no way the right question, as blood is always red!

Rather you should ask: Was it black?

As in this last situation it means that it has been digested in the small bowel, and you should look for its source higher in the gastro-intestinal tract.

Most of the time this means the stomach or duodenum is the culprit!

Nowadays, it is sufficient to swallow a small camera, which is the size of a pill, and in a few hours, you have the answer.

For an experienced sonographer, this goes faster, as an echography of the whole tummy takes less than an hour!
